Class descriptions / details / prices

Full-day classes are $450, or $799 for both Part I and Part II.

Classes are tailored to the specific group present as needed.

"Part I" includes housing & camera setup, exposure, lighting, strobe positions for macro & wide-angle, how to prevent backscatter, secrets for getting the best shot, better buoyancy techniques

"Part II" includes advanced shooting techniques, close-focus wide-angle, ambient light, reflections, supermacro, over-unders, & working with models. 

Pool is Saltwater not chlorine
Pool is Heated to 85+ degrees
Both days will have in water shooting
Full critiques on large screen will be given on day 1 as time permits & always on day 2
Shorty or 3mm wetsuits highly recommended
Bring mask, fins, BC, reg, tank, towel & change of clothes
We will supply a tank for the free classes with purchase
Pool is located in Venice Beach, CA

Professional underwater photographer & designer of the custom pool

Earning a Master of Fine Arts Degree in photography and video from UCLA Rod also studied at the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.

Rod's images have appeared in numerous publications including Scuba Diving Magazine, Sport Diver Magazine, EZ Dive, Asian Diver Magazine, Scuba Diver Australasia, Alert Diver, Action Asia, UWP Magazine, Fathoms Magazine, and Tauchen Magazine.

Rod, who is also a PADI MSDT, has been the photo pro for what some consider the top dive liveaboard in the world, the Arenui, and he is a photo instructor and trip leader for Bluewater Photo.
