Subsee adapter - so convenient

I love this adapter. I used to have a dyron wet lens that needed to be screwed on and off. When I upgraded my rig and bought the Subsee diopter, I bought it with this flip adapter. It's been awesome, so convenient to be able to flip it on and off quickly, with no hassle. Easy to put on port and remove it afterwards. Very light. Highly recommended.

GOOD PURSHASE

I bought both subsee adapter and subsee +10 diopter. I am using it with a Hugyfot housing for NIKON D7000 and a 85mm micro lens. The subsee adapter fit perfectly on the port but it sometimes can slide so it is necessary to be careful. The result with the subsee +10 diopter are perfect if you are close enough to the subject.

Thank you to Scott and his team for their professionalism.

Well!

I order dual version with +5 and +10 diopters on Sea&Sea MDX-PRO 5D MK II / Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS modular port setup. Screw section not good designed because able damage to the port. But underwater macro life very small and if you use full frame DSLR and like macro photography/videography, you need this one! Working very well!

Add super macro to your underwater rig with the swing of an arm.

I purchased this mount along with the Subsee +5 diopter. I was in a bit of a rush and Blue Water did everything right. They provided me with expert advice and helped me acquire everything in the short time before I departed to the Philippines. The adapter is super easy to install, all you have to decide is where you want the arm to swing. I tried several different positions but ultimately settled on the left side swing out. The adapter accepts the diopter and holds it securely. It took a bit of getting used to focusing but with a little practice and a steady hand you can obtain some great super macro shots. This is by far the best setup for a wet diopter that I have seen. It is well worth the investment.

Does what is supposed to do, and does it well

I used the dual version with +5 and +10 diopters on an ikelite 5D Mark III / 100mm Canon macro with modular port setup. Expensive, but it does the job well. Attaches to the port securely, and the diopters feel very securely attached. Great to be able to flip between magnifications while keeping the camera in position to frame the next shot. You pay more for custom gear... but you get custom gear. This is not news to the underwater photography world.

Easy to use, a little bit pricy but worth it...

After I came back from Anilao, Philippines from muck diving, I found I needed something that I could use Subsee +5 and +10 easier. So I bought a dual hinge adapter and I am very happy with it.

A bit pricy but does a very good job. So I don't have to screw on and off just to get a perfect diopter choice. I enjoy my macro photography even more....

Also Scott and his team gave me great information and very fast shipping to Sydney too.

Cool!!!

Purchased this as part of by Subsee +5 dipoter. Super easy to attach to my flat dome port and the dipoter fits right in there. I give it a 10/10 for ease of use.

Pricey, but does the job

I bought the dual-hinge version, and paying nearly $300 for a little plastic adapter was hard to swallow. That said, installation on my Nauticam port and adding the +5 and +10 diopters was drop-dead simple, and you can easily remove one of the hinges if you're only using one diopter.

I've used it for hundreds of dives with no problems whatsoever. This is pretty much a must-have item if you're using the Subsee diopters.

Be sure to call for pricing because it differs by housing model. For some reason, mine was the most expensive.

It is great

I started using the adapter a few months ago, in the philipines. i had the opportunity to tested before buying it using a 5+ diopter. It took me one dive to fall in love with it. I used it mostly with my 105mm lens and it is great. i highly recommended.

First time using this adapter and it worked flawless on my S&S 105mm port

The custom fit adapter with the flip-out diopter is a great design. It allows for shooting both macro and super macro on the same dive. When folded back, it does not get in the way. I preferred to position it so that I could flip it back to the side in a slightly upward direction. It is also more compact than the other models I have seen.
