An awesome dome

I test drove this dome in Barbados but did not have the ultra wide port extension. Nevertheless I liked the dome well enough to buy it. I bought the dome and added the ultrawide port extension and decided this dome is fantastic. Here is how I tested it on my first trip.

I tried it out chasing whale sharks in Holbox Mexico. Whale sharks swim much faster than I do, so I was really having to kick hard to keep up and get shots off. So test 1 was will the port stay secure while I am kicking my butt off. The dome passed with flying colors. No loose parts, and no leaks even after the whale shark swatted my housing and dome with its tail. Test 2, will the images I shoot while pushing the camera and housing through the water at maximum exertion look like anything? Again the dome far surpassed by expectations. Would I go back and shoot more whale shark pictures with this dome, you better believe I would.

For test 3 I wanted to see if I could shoot wide in relatively shallow water and still not have sun ball problems on a clear sunny day. I went to the underwater museum in Isla Muerjes and shot images in 30 feet of water on a bright sunny day. No sun ball problems. Clear, close focus wide angle shots and just alot of fun. Will the dome work in the rest of the Caribbean where I often dive; there is not a doubt in my mind it will work great. Can't wait to go back out diving and shoot some wrecks because that is where I think this dome will really excel.
