Exactly what I was looking for

This is my fourth Sea and Sea housing. I started shooting slides, then moved to digital, and this purchase was because I wanted to be able to use video as well. The stellar performance ratings of the Nikon D7000 pushed me to move ahead. The housing has performed great. I can reach all of the functions easily (even with small hands) and can't think of any other controls that I wish I had. I found it is easier to change settings without having to look up and take my eyes off of the viewfinder. A huge benefit. There is an optional bulkhead for a TTL converter that I really like for macro, so 5 pin or optical for strobes... your choice. Video controls are also very easy to use. Scott did a great job of putting my package together, and was always available for questions. Even follow up emails to see how I liked everything. You can't go wrong buying your system from Bluewater Photo.

I have been using this using for quite some time now. I almost dove 100 dives with this housing and I simply love it. This is my first slr housing and coming from a compact camera well there were a lot of uncertainties. The ergonomics are great, easy on the hands and underwater the weight is well balance to the point that it does not hurt on the wrist and elbows which was one of my biggest concern. The assembly is easy once you get used to it. The buttons are easily access and you can shoot underwater with only one arm. I definetely recommend this housing and after this experience I will probably continue buying Sea Sea. thanks for the recommendations Scott and Blue water personnel.

Loving it!

After reviewing the ikelite, Sea & Sea & Nauticam housings, I went with the Sea & Sea and couldn't be happier. It's a great housing and I love how easy it is to use. Thanks Bluewater!

I've been using this housing for almost a year and have found it to be an extension of my diving equipment. I would not dive without it!. It fits well in my hands and makes sense with all the controls on my camera. Everything functions consistently well and I am very happy with the results. This housing is a very comfortable piece of equipment.

I couldn't be happier wtih my recent purchase of the Sea&Sea D7000 underwater housing.  The ergonomics are fantastic, and allow me to control focus lock, shutter speed, aperture, and ISO without taking my eye away from the viewfinder.  The ports are easy to attach, and are very secure.  The optional hardwire connection allows me to utilize my Ikelite strobes via the nikonos type connection.  Anyone looking to house their D7000 should seriously consider the Sea & Sea MDX-7000.

Highly reccomended
