Great diopter!

I couldn't ask for more in my SubSee +10.  I use this with my Canon 5D3 and 100mm lens for small subjects, with ReefNet's flip diopter holder.  I don't own the +5 and don't need it with this setup.  Highly recommended.

Love the flexibility of the adapter to my setup. Works like a dream with the Canon 100mm. Highly recommended for the patient shooter who is willing to put the time in to maximize this products potential.

I have the SubSee +10 Diopter on a Sony Nauticam NEX7 housing with a Sony NEX7 with 18-55mm lens.
I found this to a great close up lens combination, at 55mm on the lens, it would make the subject really separate from the background.
It has a very narrow depth of field, but once you figure that out, it did a great job.
The lens is very heavy, so will make the setup very negative. We included large floats on the arms, and this worked out just about right.

I recently brought the SubSee +10 and Dual adapter in readiness for the +5 purchase from Blue Water Photo. I was glad I brought the dual adapter because if the +5 is anything like the +10 I will be very happy indeed. I use the system with a D300s in a Nauticam housing with a 105VRmm lens. The adapter is a must have piece of kit in my opinion due to the flexibility of being able to flip the lens in front of the port when you need it and flip it out when you want to shoot normal Macro. As for the lens itself well it was designed by one of the best Macro photographers around so there is no question about the build quality or the results in the images it produces. Being an Admin on the Underwater Macro Photographers FB Group I have seen many many superlative images from the SubSee lenses which is why I brought one. Thanks to Scott and the team at Blue Water for their professionalism and excellent service! Chris Spence

GOOD PURCHASE

I bought both subsee adapter and subsee +10 diopter. I am using it with a Hugyfot housing for NIKON D7000 and a 85mm micro lens. The subsee adapter fit perfectly on the port but it sometimes can slide so it is necessary to be careful. The result with the subsee +10 diopter are perfect if you are close enough to the subject.

Thank you to Scott and his team for their professionalism.

A new supermacro tool

Quality built diopter that works well with it's swing arm frame. The whole system is solid and functions very well. Has to be matched to your macro port. Shooting super macro with the diopter takes some practice but the results are eventually worth it.

So close!

This is a great diopter - very sharp with great images. This will push your limits as a macro photographer. I spent many frustrating moments trying to get something in view, let alone in sharp focus. But as with anything practice makes perfect, er I mean better each time. I would recommend starting with the +5 and progressing to the +10. However I started with the +10 as the +5 was not in stock... and I struggled. Make sure you know your macro craft before you add this. I used it with a 5D Mark III and 100mm macro - a shallow depth of field combo to start with. The 5D was up to the focusing task when the lens was placed in the right position - no infinity focus here! The SubSee flip-in / flip-out adapter is fantastic - pricey but does exactly what it supposed to do and well. I'm rambling a little here... but bottom line a recommended product.

"Even better than the +10! Great Lens"

Bought this lens to add to my system and in addition to the +5, after seeing some photos from my friend who had this on his SLR. My system was based around the Canon G12, a stepping stone while I awaited the 5DmkIII, and it made a great addition to my photo trip to the Philippines for my super macro opportunities.

Sturdy build quality, great sharpness, improves the DOF ability and very bright. Combined this and the dual hinged adapter so I had the option of both the +5 & +10 for greater flexibility. A focus light helped the focusing issues in some low light situations too as the G12 struggled from time to time without. Once I had the sweet spot dialed in I was more than happy with the results.

All in all very impressed and especially with the service from Scott and the team

Nice Macro!

Began using the +10 diopter with a Canon S100 camera. Able to take some very nice macro pictures. Macro shots are very sharp and allow me to get very close. The beauty of the diopter is that it can be put on/off the camera underwater allowing me to switch between macro and wide angle shooting. For me this is a very important feature of the diopter. Only down-side I can see is the weight of the diopter but even that is not terrible. All in all a very handy and fun tool that gives great results!
