The a5000 includes refined capabilities in a pocket-able size that makes it is easy to get beautiful pictures almost anywhere. Features include exceptional image quality from the large APS-C image sensor, fast focusing and interchangeable lens capability. NFC (Near Field Communication) enables single touch image sharing with compatible mobile devices or direct connection with Android and iOS devices via Wi-Fi.
One new feature of this camera that no other mirrorless camera has, is the addition of a zoom lever on the camera itself, which is able to operate power zoom lenses like the 16-50mm (included as camera kit lens). What this means is that no zoom gear or special port is required to operate the zoom in the underwater housing, further lessening the overall cost of the system for underwater use. Nothing to prep on the camera; it can go from pocket to housing in seconds. Compact shooters will feel right at home with this rig!
