Marelux Artemis 3000 RMT Underwater Video Light, compact 3-color light with remote

Marelux Artemis 4500 RMT

Compact, three-color underwater video light with remote shutter control for smooth, even footage.

Designed for creators who want clean, wide coverage in a travel-friendly body, the Artemis 4500 RMT delivers true 4500-lumen white output, together with red and blue modes, for stealth and creative effects. Its 120° flood and neutral 6000K tone produce natural color and soft falloff that grades beautifully.

Whether you’re upgrading your video lights or building a first rig, this light’s simple controls, four-step dimming, and optional remote shutter make it a smart choice among the best underwater video lights for macro, reef, and travel video.

  • 4500 lm white, plus 1000 lm red & 600 lm blue output
  • Wide 120° beam; neutral 6000K color, CRI 72
  • Four-step power: 100% / 80% / 50% / 20%
  • Remote shutter mode for Marelux housings (with module)
  • Rugged anodized aluminum; 100 m depth rating

Even, Natural Coverage

A 120° flood with neutral 6000K output gives you soft edges and accurate color—ideal for wide reef scenes and close-focus video without hotspots.

  • Wide beam reduces backscatter at close range
  • CRI 72 for faithful hues and easier grading
  • Pairs well as key or fill with other lights

Three Colors, More Control

Switch instantly between white (4500 lm), red (1000 lm) and blue (600 lm). Red preserves critter behavior for macro; blue enables creative fluorescence with the right filters.

  • Four-step dimming for precise exposure
  • Stealth approach for shy subjects
  • Creative effects for night dives

Remote Shutter Mode

Engage wireless shutter control (with the Marelux 42510 Remote Shutter Module on compatible housings) to focus and trigger without touching the camera—great for tight spaces or tripod work.

  • Half-press focus, full-press capture
  • Fewer vibrations on macro shots
  • Keeps hands on lighting and framing

Travel-Ready Power & Build

Runs on two common 18650 Li-ion cells for ~1 hour at full power. The anodized aluminum body is compact (Ø50 × 190 mm), lightweight underwater and depth-rated to 100 m.

  • Easy battery swaps between dives
  • Underwater weight ~260 g (with batteries)
  • Durable sealing and user-serviceable O-rings

Is the Marelux Artemis 3000 RMT bright enough to be a primary underwater video light?
Yes for macro and close-to-medium subjects; its 4500-lumen white output and 120° flood produce clean, even illumination. For wide scenes or strong ambient light, many shooters pair two identical video lights for more even edge-to-edge coverage.

What batteries does it use and how long does it run?
It uses two 18650 Li-ion cells (3.7V). With quality, high-drain cells you can expect roughly 60 minutes at full white output, longer at reduced levels. Charge cells in a reputable external charger and carry a spare set for multi-dive days.

What does “RMT” mean—will the remote shutter work with my housing?
RMT refers to the light’s remote-shutter mode. When paired with the Marelux Remote Shutter Module (model 42510) on compatible Marelux housings, you can half-press to focus and fully press to trigger the camera. It isn’t a universal remote; check your housing’s compatibility before ordering the module.

Can I use this light for still photography or only for video?
It’s excellent as a focus/aiming light and for constant-light macro stills. For fast-moving subjects or wide scenes, a strobe still freezes motion and delivers higher peak brightness. Many hybrid shooters use the Artemis 4500 RMT for video and focusing and strobes for stills.

What mounting and accessories do I need to get started?
The light uses a standard 1″ ball mount, so you’ll want an arms-and-clamps set and a sturdy tray for compacts or mirrorless rigs. Consider a second matching light for wide-angle balance, red mode for night/macro behavior, and fluorescence filters if you plan blue-light/UV-style creative work.
