The exposure suit (wetsuit or drysuit) provides thermal insulation and protects divers from the varying water temperatures. There are exposure suits to suit temperatures from 28 F to 86 F.

Fins are another crucial part of scuba gear as they enable divers to move effortlessly and efficiently underwater. They provide propulsion and help divers navigate through currents.
The BCD, buoyancy control device, or buoyancy compensator, allows divers to control their buoyancy by adding or releasing air from it. This helps them achieve neutral buoyancy and maintain a stable position in the water. There are lots of different types of BCD to suit different divers needs.

The scuba regulator is the device that allows divers to breathe underwater by delivering air from the tank. It consists of a first stage that attaches to the tank and reduces the high pressure of the air, and a second stage that delivers the air to the diver's mouthpiece. The tank itself is filled with compressed air or other breathing gases, providing a continuous supply of air to the diver.
