The Halcyon Symbios Handset & HUD Dive Computer brings together cutting-edge visibility and effortless control in one connected system. Symbios is a modular ecosystem: the Handset is your primary wrist computer, the HUD is a near-eye heads-up display for continuous, glance-only info, and the Tank Pod wirelessly sends tank pressure (and trim) data to your computers. All components run on rechargeable power, use robust wireless comms, and tie into the Halcyon app for setup, logs, and updates. The platform supports open-circuit, multi-gas, and CCR modes, and is designed to expand with devices like GPS and DPV interfaces.

Symbios Handset (primary computer)
Role: Your main dive computer on the wrist. It runs Bühlmann ZH-L16C with adjustable GFs, supports oxygen/nitrox/trimix, and includes open-circuit and Fixed Setpoint CCR modes (plus integrated CCR options on the platform). The display is a 2.4″ hybrid transflective, full-color screen (320×240) designed for high visibility in sunlit or dark conditions. Tactile, glove-friendly two-button controls keep navigation simple.
Wireless & expandability: Pairs wirelessly with up to 9 tank pods; integrates with GPS Pod, DPV interface, and the broader Symbios accessories roadmap. App connectivity handles settings, firmware, and log syncing.
Power & durability: Rechargeable Li-ion battery, rugged compact build, vibration alerts, and a 3-axis digital compass. Depth rating to 120 m (BLUE variant shown on spec page).
Why it matters: The Handset is your high-bandwidth screen for planning, gas switching, CCR setpoint management (where applicable), and reviewing alarms—while staying easy to read and operate in gloves and variable light.

Compact HUD, Big Visibility
The Halcyon Symbios HUD is a mask-mounted, near-eye heads-up display dive computer that keeps critical data—depth, time/NDL, setpoint, alarms—always in your line of sight. It can run as a stand-alone multi-gas computer or act as a monitor for the Symbios CCR, and mounts to Halcyon’s H-View (and similar) masks via a dedicated clamp/assembly. Wireless integration within the Symbios ecosystem enables app support and pairing with compatible devices. A bright TFT full-color micro-display projects a virtual image (~20 × 20 cm at 70 cm), so key data stays in view without lifting a hand—perfect for instructors and underwater photographers.

Symbios Tank Pod (pressure & trim transmitter)
Role: Screws into your first stage to transmit tank pressure—and uniquely, trim/attitude information—to your Symbios computers in real time. This enables on-screen pressure, low-pressure alerts, and patented trim analysis in the ecosystem.
Buddy visibility: Your Symbios computer can also read nearby buddies’ pressures, improving situational awareness during team dives. If you’re not using trim, you can rotate the battery to transmit pressure only.
Open ecosystem reception: Halcyon notes no limit to how many Halcyon devices can receive pressure/trim data, while the Handset itself can pair to nine pods (e.g., backgas, stages, buddy).
How the data flows
Tank Pod → Computers: The Pod measures HP and orientation, sending pressure (and trim) wirelessly. Both Handset and HUD can receive and display it; the HUD gives you continuous glance-level awareness while the Handset shows full-detail pages, alarms, and gas planning.
Sensors & algorithms on the Handset/HUD: Depth, time, temperature, and compass data feed Bühlmann ZH-L16C with your chosen gradient factors. You can dive OC multi-gas, Fixed-Setpoint CCR, or integrated CCR modes depending on your configuration.
App & updates: Post-dive, sync logs and tweak settings via the Halcyon app (iOS/Android). The app is referenced across product pages as the hub for updates, log management, and device control.
