Ikelite Nikon D5500 D5600 200DLM/C Underwater Housing

The Ikelite DSLR housing for the Nikon D5500 and D5600 uses the new white ABS-PC material which provides strength and corrosion free performance with minimal maintenance. In addition, it also uses the DryLock Port System which allows simple installation of ports, and their port system is capable of accommodating even the largest of lenses. 

Features:

Ergonomics and Handling - The housing has great ergonomics. The button placement is well thought of which makes it very easy to operate underwater. This allows you to concentrate on composition, focus, and proper exposure. Levers are large and curved, command dial, mode, power, live view switch, and lens release controls are all operated intuitively via premium soft-touch knobs. Stainless steel, direct-drive rotating controls are virtually fail-safe and user serviceable and adjustable in a pinch.

Setup - Setting up the camera on the housing is a breeze. The camera mount is front-loading for easy installation and removal. A small mounting plate attaches to the bottom of the camera and secures in the front of the housing.

Seal - The unique rear seal design prevents accidental twisting or stretching of the o-ring for simple and confident assembly. Ikelite have eliminated the need for an o-ring groove or channel which can trap sand, dirt, or debris. Two double-passivated stainless steel locking lid snaps are simple to use and virtually unbreakable. The clear back allows you to see the o-ring form a solid, watertight seal as it closes. 

Vacuum Testing - A spare 1/2-20 threaded accessory port is provided on the side of the housing to install the optional Vacuum Kit. The vacuum valve allows you to draw air out of the housing and check for leaks. With this, it will provide you the peace of mind that your camera is safe while underwater.

Viewfinders - The camera's large, super-bright LCD screen is viewable edge-to-edge through the back of the housing. The included Super-eye Viewfinder provides an enhanced view of the camera's optical viewfinder when viewed through a dive mask. The housing also allows you to use the Ikelite 180° Straight Viewfinder or the Ikelite 45° Viewfinder for those tricky angled shots.

Lighting - The housing supports both manual and TTL shooting. The optional Ikelite DL1 DS-Link Nikon TTL NT3 Hotshoe kit Converter can be used to enjoy the fast and accurate TTL exposure. The built-in flash is not usable in this installation. Triggering of fiber optic strobes is not supported at this time. A strobe must be connected by an electrical sync cord.

Port System - Changing ports is very easy, simply just press the port on and tighten three thumb screws. The housing uses the DryLock Port System (DLM/C) which supports a wide variety of lenses.
