The Nauticam 180° viewfinder is the perfect addition to your housing; it provides a bright, clear and undistorted 1:1 image of the camera's finder which aids in precise focusing and artistic composition.
The viewfinder features an external diopter adjustment, to easily allow you to dial in your eyesight compensation, even when you are underwater. No disassembling of the viewfinder is necessary.
The casing is made of anodised aluminium, all lenses and prisms in the viewfinder are precisely ground and multi - layer coated to ensure optimum light transmission and no distortion.
With Nauticam housings, it is simple to switch between the standard 0.66x and the Enhanced 180° viewfinder and with our specially designed adaptors, it can also be used on Ikelite, Aquatica, Sea & Sea and Nexus housings.
If you have a Nauticam mirrorless housing, you will also need a new Nauticam LCD Window
I purchased the Nauticam 180 Viewfinder with my new housing, and it is wonderful, everything is clear and large, makes it easy to focus and capture that perfect shot. I looked at other rigs without the viewfinder and there was no comparison. I love it. A must have.
Just back from Raja Ampat, It help a lot when focusing on small creature. More easier than normal viewfinder.
I really like this addition to my housing.
My first few dives with my new D7000 rig I used the standard viewfinder that comes with the housing and thought is was very good, and wondered if the money spent on the 180 viewfinder was going to be worth it.
Well, it was worth every penny. After 2-3 dives I adjusted and will never go back. I found it much easier to get a clear view of the entire viewfinder, immediately improving my composition. It is much more comfortable to look through than a standard viewfinder and I found it easier to look through it while slowly approaching a subject, allowing me to get closer to shy critters.
It is very easy to mount on the housing and easily removed for transport.
Worth every penny.
I have been using this viewfinder for the past couple of years and I can't imagine shooting without it. It gives a much brighter and larger view of the viewfinder which is perfect for composing shots and critical focus.
I’ve heard from a few people something like: if you can’t afford the viewfinder, don’t try it, it will break your wallet. I disagree. If you use a DSLR underwater, you should try the viewfinder. Your hardship will be fine, you’ll find the money.
