Nauticam's new release of carbon fiber float arms brings innovation and control to underwater photography! A heavy camera system is something that every underwater photographer dreads. They can be cumbersome, tiresome, and difficult to maneuver. Average foam floats work make these systems more buoyant underwater, but they are bulky and compress starting at 100 feet. Nauticam's carbon fiber float arms solve all of these problems! They enable camera systems to range from slightly negatively buoyant to slightly positively buoyant with a streamlined design. Moreover, carbon fiber float arms double as high quality arms....something every serious underwater photographer needs.

I have been messing with the foam floats for several years, and while they work reasonably, they were getting rather worn, and I was intrigued when these hit the market. I had passed on the aluminum floats several years ago after trying a friends- just didn't provide that much buoyancy for the size.
These floats, on the other hand, are light and have lots of floatation, and are quite easy to use. I have taken the 60x200s on a live-a-board, and was quite pleased at how light they are, especially to travel with. When I returned, I liked them so much I ordered two more, the 60 x 250s, to give me 3 pounds of lift- just what I needed to go neutral with my macro rig.
What's more, I expected to get a less than stellar product for the cost, but these are first rate in their fit and finish. Could not have expected better.
One note- I have Ultralight clamps, and regular clamps do not work well. The clamps made for these (http://www.bluewaterphotostore.com/Ultralight-AC-CSB-Clamp-Large-Buoyanc...) allow the float arm to fold parallel with a standard arm, but still end up "V"d out with two float arms together. I happened to have two UL long focus light clamps, and these allow two floats to fold parallel.
As with all my Nauticam products, another product well made.
