Nauticam Canon G16 Underwater Housing
The easy to use and secure locking rotational latch, rugged machined aluminum case and 100 meter depth rating are a few of the features that set this housing apart. The rear mounted housing o-ring makes maintenance easy and the progressive shutter release provides the best “feel” in the business. Like every Nauticam, the Nautican G16 housing has controls ergonomically placed and clearly labeled just the way Canon does.
The NA-G16 takes advantage of Canon’s excellent control set on the G16 and provides an extremely easy interface – even with gloves on. Programmable front and rear command dials are readily available to forefinger and thumb while never releasing the grip. The mode dial is quickly accessed at any moment. Manual aperture and shutter speed adjustment is intuitive and thanks to the G16's unique exposure compensation dial – so is EV control. Video functions are easily engaged with a dedicated record button. Nauticam has provided a flash deployment lever and a window to allow for monitoring Canon’s indicator LEDs showing power, ready to shoot, flash activation status and a “cannot focus” warning.

Canon G16 Camera - an intro:
The Canon Powershot G has established itself as a premier “enthusiast’s" compact digital camera, able to shoot in RAW with full manual exposure and to come equipped with fast, high quality zoom lenses. The G16 continues this tradition, with a similar body design and sensor as its predecessor the G15, but with a new Digic 6 processor that delivers 50% less shutter lag with faster focus acquisition, and WIFI for remote control and downloading on the fly.
The Canon G16 utilizes a 12.1mp Canon 1/1.7” CMOS sensor that delivers excellent image quality, even in low light. The zoom lens has an equivalent focal length of 28-140mm with Intelligent Image Stabilization, and a fast variable aperture of f/1.8-2.8. This is fast by any camera standard, but remarkable on a compact camera. These kind of apertures open up interesting possibilities in low light conditions and shallow depth of field close ups.
