The Sea & Sea MDX-40D housing for the Canon EOS 40D camera brings the power of professional SLR imaging underwater

The MDX-40D is made of a tough corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy with a hard alumite coating for extra rigidity. It's durable and ready to stand up to tough use. Its snug design keeps it compact and lightweight, and its leather-toned outer surface reflects the high quality of the camera it houses inside.

The MDX-40D comes standard with two type-N strobe connectors (2-pin and 6-pin) that are compatible with the popular SEA & SEA Series-YS strobes. The 6-pin connector accepts the optional TTL converter for Canon cameras that enables TTL flash adjustment for accurately lit flash photography. The MDX-40D is also compatible with SEA & SEA NX ports used by the NX housing series.

The MDX-40D: all the quality of film underwater with the flexibility and convenience of digital imaging.

The included type-N 6-pin connector accepts the optional TTL converter for Canon cameras. The converter works with a SEA&SEA strobe to provide automatic TTL flash adjustment.

* To use two SEA&SEA Series-YS strobes with the factory-equipped type-N connectors, you must use the 5-pin Dual Sync Cord/N 03470.
