Product Overview:

The Sea & Sea Optical YS Converter/CR converts the Canon EOS R’s electronic TTL flash signal into an optical signal, allowing underwater photographers to trigger external strobes via fiber optic cables. By eliminating the need to wait for an internal camera flash to recycle, it enables rapid firing at the maximum speed supported by your external strobes while maintaining automatic TTL exposure control.

Key Specifications:

• Compatibility: Designed for Canon EOS R camera bodies in compatible Sea & Sea MDX housings.
• Supported Strobes: YS-D2, and YS-D1.
• Signal Type: Converts camera TTL electronic signal to optical light output.
• Functionality: Supports TTL auto-flash and manual strobe control; enables continuous shooting limited only by strobe recycle time.

*PLEASE NOTE: this is the previous version that supports the Sea & Sea strobes up to YS-D2. Does not support YS-D3 strobes.
