This limited edition set pairs the SeaLife SportDiver underwater smartphone housing with the Sea Dragon 2300F photo-video light. The housing lets you use an iPhone or Android phone as an underwater camera with physical controls, and the light adds the output your phone needs once you drop below the surface.
Best For
Recreational divers and snorkelers who want to shoot photo and video with their own phone and need housing and lighting sorted in a single purchase. A sensible first underwater camera setup for travel and reef diving.
Main Advantage
It is a complete kit. The housing, a 2300-lumen light, tray, grip, vacuum pump, color-correction filter and a carry case that holds the assembled rig are all included.
Compatibility
SeaLife lists iPhone 11 through iPhone 17 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, and many other Android phones. The phone must be no larger than 6.49" x 3.15" x 0.38" (165 x 80 x 9.7 mm).
Important to Know
The phone is not included, and available app settings vary by phone make and model. Check your exact phone against the SeaLife compatibility chart before you order.

What You Need to Know
Compatibility
iPhone: iPhone 11 through iPhone 17 Pro Max, per SeaLife.
Android: Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, plus many other Android phones.
The app supports phones running the current or previous operating system, which Apple and Google can change at any time. Features such as lens selection and RAW+JPEG depend on your phone model.
Compatibility varies by phone — contact Bluewater Photo to confirm your setup.
What You'll Need
Your own smartphone and the free SportDiver app are the only essentials. The housing, light, rechargeable battery, charger, vacuum pump and AAA batteries are all in the box.
Only one Moisture Muncher anti-fog capsule is included, so plan on spares. Wide-angle or macro lenses and a Flex-Connect arm are optional ways to expand the system later.
Who Should Choose It?
Divers and snorkelers who want better control than a phone in a basic pouch, and who want lighting included from day one.
If you want strobe-style flash photography or already own a dedicated underwater light, look at housing-only options or a camera system with strobe support instead.

SeaLife SportDiver Housing & Sea Dragon 2300 Light Set Overview
The SportDiver turns your phone into a proper underwater camera. Your phone sits inside a sealed housing and connects to the SportDiver app by Bluetooth, so no cables or buttons touch the phone. You control it with a large shutter lever and rear buttons that SeaLife designed to work with dive gloves, rather than fighting a touchscreen underwater.
Lighting is where phone photography usually falls short underwater. The included Sea Dragon 2300F is a flood-beam light that holds 2300 lumens for its whole burn time at full power, with 50% and 25% settings for closer subjects and longer dives. A removable red color-correction filter on the housing helps restore natural color.
Safety is built in. The housing has a vacuum check system and a dual leak alarm, an internal moisture sensor plus a vacuum pressure alarm, that warns you by on-screen message, audio and LED. The kit includes the vacuum pump, so you can check the seal before you get in the water.
Everything packs into one compact case that holds the assembled housing and light, which makes this a practical option for dive travel.
Key Features
- 130 ft / 40 m depth rating covers typical recreational diving. SeaLife states each housing is individually depth tested.
- Large shutter lever and rear buttons make it easier to shoot, zoom and change modes while wearing gloves.
- Dual leak alarms warn you quickly if the seal is compromised, so you can protect your phone.
- Bluetooth connection and 2x AAA power mean no cables touch the phone, and the housing is rated for 50 hours of use.
- Removable red color-correction filter attaches and detaches underwater, with a safety tether so you do not lose it.
- 2300-lumen flood-beam light with three power levels lets you trade brightness for run time.
- Three ¼-20 tripod threads let you mount the housing to a Flex-Connect tray or any standard ¼-20 tray.

Physical Controls and the SportDiver App
The app uses your phone's native camera technology and is free to download. SeaLife states there are no in-app purchases or ads. Zoom runs from 1x to 10x in 0.5x steps, and photos and videos save to your phone's Photos app for editing and sharing.
- iPhone: manual white balance (3000K to 8000K), tint, exposure compensation and 4K, 1080p or 720p video.
- Android: manual shutter speed (1/30 to 1/2000 sec), ISO 50 to 3200, 3-shot burst and several white balance presets.
- Both: auto or manual focus, exposure compensation (-3.0 to +3.0) and RAW+JPEG on supported phones.
Leak Protection and Seal Checks
Use the included vacuum pump to draw down the housing before the dive. The LED shows solid green when vacuum pressure is good and flashing green if vacuum has not been applied. A flashing red LED signals a leak.
- Dual alarms cover both moisture and vacuum pressure loss.
- Alerts come as an on-screen warning, an audio alarm and an LED signal.
- A cam-lock latch and TPE main O-ring secure the housing door, with spare O-rings and lubricant included.
Sea Dragon 2300F Flood Light
The "F" stands for flood beam, a wide, even spread suited to phones and action cameras that cover a large field of view. Light output is steady at 2300 lumens at full power throughout the 80-minute burn time.
- 100%, 50% and 25% power levels, with up to 320 minutes at 25%.
- 5000K color temperature and CRI 80 for natural-looking color.
- Light tested to 330 ft / 100 m, so the housing sets the depth limit for this kit.
Best Uses for the SportDiver Housing & Sea Dragon 2300 Light Set
Reef and Travel Diving
Housing, light and case pack together, and the phone you already carry does the imaging. The 40 m depth rating covers typical recreational dive profiles.
Underwater Video
Constant light from the Sea Dragon works for video as well as stills. The app records in 4K, 1080p or 720p, depending on your phone.
Close-Range Shooting in Low Light
The 50% and 25% settings let you reduce output for nearby subjects and stretch run time across several dives.
Snorkeling and Shallow Water
SeaLife positions the SportDiver for snorkelers as well as divers, and the physical controls beat a wet touchscreen near the surface.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the SportDiver housing fit my phone?
SeaLife lists iPhone 11 through iPhone 17 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, and many other Android phones. The phone must fit within 6.49" x 3.15" x 0.38". Use the SeaLife compatibility checker or contact Bluewater to confirm your model.
Is the SportDiver a SeaLife phone case or an underwater camera?
It is a waterproof underwater housing for your iPhone or Android phone, not a standard phone case. Your phone is the camera, and you control it with the housing's buttons and the SportDiver app.
How deep can I dive with this set?
The SportDiver housing is rated to 130 ft / 40 m. The Sea Dragon 2300F light is tested deeper, to 330 ft / 100 m, but the housing is the limit for the kit.
How long do the batteries last?
The housing runs on two AAA batteries for about 50 hours. The light's rechargeable battery gives 80 minutes at full power, 160 minutes at half power and 320 minutes at quarter power, and takes 170 minutes to charge.
What else do I need besides my phone?
Nothing essential. The kit includes the light, battery, charger, vacuum pump and batteries for the housing. Only one anti-fog capsule is included, so most divers add spares, and lenses or an arm are optional upgrades.
Can I shoot RAW or manual settings?
Often, but it depends on your phone. RAW+JPEG and lens selection depend on the phone model. Manual shutter speed and ISO are offered on Android, while iPhone offers manual white balance and tint.
Is the SportDiver app free?
Yes. SeaLife states the app is free from the App Store or Google Play, with no in-app purchases or ads. It is available in English only.
Can I use the Sea Dragon 2300 light above water?
Only briefly. The light uses water to shed heat, and the head can reach about 140°F (60°C) within minutes at full power. A thermal sensor dims it at about 150°F (65°C), and you should switch it off if any part feels hot.
