The Retra did it again! They have further improved the Retra Flash Pro with the new Retra Flash Pro X. The strobe is more efficient with faster recycle time, you get more flashes and made the weight lighter. The strobe also has lots of great and innovative features which makes it an excellent strobe. It utilizes a fully circular flash tube which provides a very powerful (max. 150w) output and high-quality smooth output. The body is built from machined aluminum which makes it durable, robust, and can take a beating. What makes this strobe very unique compared to others is its ability to be user-programmable using its mobile app. Advanced features such as HSS, Smart SL, Modes, etc. can be adjusted using the app via Bluetooth connection.

The ergonomics of the strobe is also wonderful. Adjusting settings is also very easy with its large knobs even while wearing thick gloves when diving in cold water. It also shows how much battery power left using an LED light.

Circular Flash Tube
