Retra LSD Ultimate for Retra Flash

The Retra Light Shaping Device (LSD) operates similarly to an optical projector, collecting light from both the strobe flash and the integrated pilot light to generate a sharp, high-contrast beam at its specified focus distance. Unlike standard tube snoots that suffer from significant light loss and fuzzy edges, the LSD utilizes an internal optical system—comprising a custom lens element, mask, and diffuser—to shape and focus the beam without sacrificing output.

This internal layout ensures that the pilot light accurately reflects the exact shape and boundaries of the final flash exposure, allowing for precise aiming before triggering the shutter.
