The AOI UWL‑03Pro (also referred to in some contexts as aoi ucl‑03 in legacy naming) is an underwater conversion lens designed for use with action cameras and smartphones—a true "wide angle wet lens" solution. It's built specifically to pair with GoPro accessories such as original GoPro housings via the AOI Quick Release System QRS‑02 mount. This lens addresses the limitations of AOI underwater imaging with flat-port housings, where refraction narrows the field of view (FOV) underwater and softens corners. By opting for this attachment, users effectively restore or expand the underwater FOV, delivering results markedly sharper than standard wide modes.
Its optical glass dome lens with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings reduces internal reflections and improves contrast, especially when shooting into strong light or at dawn/dusk. The lens uses 4 elements in 4 groups, delivering a reliable 0.73× magnification underwater which boosts the field of view to approximately 140° underwater (150° on land).
