The Olympus TG-6 is the lastest part of the Tough Series - a series that is waterproof, compact, nearly indestructible underwater cameras. It is packed with great features, including a number of special modes which are optimized for underwater photography, like microscope mode for macro photos. It features a new, super-fast f/2.0 wide-angle lens, and a 12 MP image sensor that provides fantastic image quality. The camera also boasts an ability to capture 4K videos! Additional focusing features such as face detection AF, focus area selection, and manual focus, with or without assist and focus peaking, make this camera a breeze to shoot. This camera might as well be an instrument of science with built-in field sensors including a GPS, manometer, compass, and temperature sensor. The Olympus TG-6 sure can take a beating as it is waterproof (up to 50ft), shockproof, freezeproof, and crushproof!
The Olympus PT-059 Underwater Housing for the TG-6 camera is lightweight, compact and has fantastic ergonomics. If you are looking to bring the Olympus TG-6 underwater below snorkeling depth, this is your best option. It is made from a durable polycarbonate material, which provides rigid protection for your camera, is lightweight, and has a depth rating of 45m (147 ft). In addition, the camera controls for the TG-6 of are far more easily accessible with the housing so it is even highly recommended for snorkelers or shallow water dives within 50 feet. The housing can also accept different kinds of wet lenses for both wide angle and macro underwater photography. Most of all, it is affordably priced.
