The Kraken Sports KRH08 Universal Smart Phone Housing V2 is most recent version of the very popular universal smart phone case! This SmartPhone Housing V2.0 has been updated with some minor changes to accommodate the majority of phones available on the market, regardless of size. To better safeguard the electronics, minor modifications have been made to improve protection against unintentional leaks. An 18650 lithium-ion battery powers the housing now, and it can also charge your phone while it's inside the case (tiny, specialized charging connections are available). The Kraken Sports KRH08 Universal Smart Phone Housing V2 still contains a vacuum port to verify your device is secure inside before you jump in the water and an accessory track built in for an optional sliding-in red filter. The housing is depth rated to 280′.

Product Overview:
The best and most economical way to begin shooting underwater pictures and videos is with the Kraken Sports Universal Smart Phone Housing V2. Just your smartphone will do! With so many excellent smartphone cameras available, the quality of the images you acquire can sometimes match or even surpass that of compact underwater cameras. Kraken offers a tiny and exceptionally durable high grade polycarbonate underwater housing that is compatible with most modern android and iOS smartphones. The enclosure can accommodate various phone sizes thanks to an adjustable shim system (see compatibility details below). Because the housing is made of anodized aluminum, it is tough enough to survive even the worst circumstances, such as rocky beaches, strong currents, and large waves. Additionally, it features an integrated vacuum system that tightens the seal and alerts you to any problems with the hosing. Thus, when used appropriately, this housing is nearly unbreakable and will shield your phone from the weather! The vacuum system may be operated by pulling on it a few times with the vacuum pump that comes with it. An indicator will alert you when it is safe to use the phone underwater. We provide a large selection of wet lenses for macro and wide angle photography. For broad angle, we strongly suggest the Kraken KRL-07, and for macro, the Bluewater +7 (with a threaded adapter).
When your smartphone is placed inside the housing, it is controlled via a bluetooth app that connects the phone to the housing's controls. The application is free to download for both Android and iPhone (iOS). We recommend keeping your phone on airplane mode when using the app. Google Pixel users (Pixel 2 and up) will be able to their normal camera app with the Kraken smarphone housing when they download the Dive Case Connector app. When you're in the Dive+ app, do not connect the housing from your bluetooth menu. The app will connect via bluetooth directly.

Compatible Phones:
The maximum phone dimensions that can be used with this housing are 174.40mm x 8.8mm x 81.30mm (housing interior dimensions 9″ x 4.5″). Curved back phones will not work in the housing.
