Key Features of the Marelux Canon R5 II:

Housing Dual Locking System
The dual locking system design provides security and minimal effort to lock your housing. In addition, it has a special feature that prevents accidental unlocking but is still very easy to open if you need to change your battery or memory card.

Port Locking Design
Secures your port and port extensions in place with one simple click with its built-in locking system.

Flash Trigger (Optional)
The flash trigger converts the electronic signal from your camera into a light signal which triggers your strobe. The flash trigger also has a very long battery life - 10,000 triggers with the (2) CR2032 batteries

Camera Plate
A 50kg force is applied to secure the camera with the design of the quick release baseplate, while being extremely convenient to operate. The housing comes with a quick-release camera plate, which makes camera installation a breeze. Also, the plate locks in place to the housing and can be easily installed and removed. Once in place, the camera is secure to the housing.
NEW FEATURE: Built-in remote shutter control module (RSCM)
The latest Marelux R5 MKII underwater housing includes a built-in remote shutter control module (RSCM) which enables users to take photos from a distance. This RSCM is located underneath the camera's base plate and can be easily installed by the users themselves using two screws and a waterproof case. By connecting a USB-C cable (provided by Marelux) to the camera's earphone/shutter control port, users can operate the module effortlessly. The most intriguing feature of this technology is that it can be wirelessly controlled through signals from Marelux's video light and color torch.
Currently, the remote controller function is supported by the Spectrum 1000-lumen dive light and the Artemis 3000-lumen focus light. Both of these lights have a special button with two levels of pressing: a soft press sends an encrypted signal for focusing, while a hard press on the second level releases another encrypted signal for shutter release. Another remarkable development is the Spectrum 1000, a 1000-lumen torch that can emit full-spectrum colors. Users can select their desired color by pressing one of the three buttons on the torch's body. This color torch is an essential tool for users to create innovative underwater photography.
Seamless Camera Control
One of the key advantages of the Marelux housing is its exceptional ergonomics. All of the camera's controls are readily accessible, ensuring that you can make adjustments and settings with ease, even while submerged. This level of control and responsiveness is crucial for capturing those fleeting, once-in-a-lifetime moments that often occur underwater.
Versatile Accessory Integration
To further expand your underwater imaging capabilities, the Marelux housing is designed to seamlessly integrate with a wide range of accessories (see all the Marelux accessories here). From external strobes (Marelux Apollo III 2.0 / Marelux Apollo S) and video lights (Marelux Artemis Video light) to wet lenses and viewfinders, you can customize your setup to suit your specific needs and creative vision.
Optimized Thermal Management
Overheating has been a common concern for the original Canon EOS R5, but the Marelux housing addresses this issue head-on. Its enhanced thermal management system ensures that your camera can maintain optimal performance, even during extended video recording sessions, allowing you to capture stunning 8K footage without interruption.
Flashfuel FF2100 (Manual Flash Trigger + 2100mAh Power Bank Combo)
Tailored for underwater photography and high-speed shooting, combining flash triggering and camera power supply in a single compact device.
Ultra-durable Trigger Performance: Powered by a single CR123A 3 V lithium battery, it can handle up to 300,000 flash triggers before replacement.
Robust USB-C Power Output: Integrates a 2100 mAh rechargeable battery, offering up to 30 W output (5–20 V), capable of powering your camera directly.
Remote Shutter Module
The Remote Shutter Module is designed to enhance underwater photography by providing remote control capabilities to remotely control the camera shutter release via Marelux's Artemis 4500 RMT Light (42703). It features an effective receiving distance of 10 meters and an optical signal receiving angle of 140 degrees, allowing for flexible positioning and reliable performance.
